Question 1

How far is the InterContinental Dubai Festival City from Dubai International Airport, and is it easy to access for international delegates?

Accepted Answer

The venue is only an 8-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, making it one of the most conveniently located large-scale conference destinations in the city for international attendees. Complimentary parking and valet parking are available on-site, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring a smooth arrival experience for all guests regardless of how they travel.

Question 2

What is the maximum capacity of the venue, and can it accommodate large-scale corporate events such as conferences or gala dinners?

Accepted Answer

The InterContinental Dubai Festival City can host up to 8,000 guests in cocktail format, 6,500 in theater style, and 4,500 for a seated banquet, placing it among the highest-capacity corporate event venues in Dubai. Whether you are organizing a regional leadership summit, an all-hands company meeting, or a large gala dinner, the venue's flexible layout options can be adapted to match your event format and attendee count.

Question 3

Does the venue have professional AV equipment and technical infrastructure available on-site?

Accepted Answer

The venue is equipped with professional AV equipment, staging, and high-speed internet as standard on-site facilities, reducing the need for costly external suppliers and simplifying your production logistics. Basic lighting infrastructure is also in place, and the team can support hybrid or live-streamed event formats, which is increasingly important for corporate events with both in-person and remote audiences across the Middle East and beyond.

Question 4

Are breakout rooms available for parallel sessions, workshops, or smaller executive meetings within the same event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the venue includes dedicated breakout rooms that can run simultaneously alongside a main plenary session, making it well suited to multi-track conference formats, training days, or leadership forums that require a mix of large-group and small-group spaces. With boardroom capacity reaching up to 2,200 and U-shape configurations for up to 310 participants, the venue can accommodate everything from intimate strategy sessions to mid-size workshops within the same footprint.

Question 5

How do I request a quote for this venue, and how long does it take to receive a response?

Accepted Answer

You can submit an enquiry for the InterContinental Dubai Festival City directly through Flaash, a B2B platform built specifically for corporate event sourcing across the Middle East, and receive a tailored quote within 24 hours. This streamlined process is designed for event managers, HR managers, and communication teams who need accurate pricing quickly in order to move through internal approval processes without delays.

Question 6

What is the recommended lead time for booking, and what practical tips should event managers know before planning an event at this venue?

Accepted Answer

For large-scale events exceeding 1,000 attendees, a lead time of at least three to six months is advisable given the venue's popularity and the complexity of coordinating catering, AV, and accommodation for multi-day programs. The venue benefits from a loading dock for easy equipment delivery, on-site catering managed by the hotel team, and direct access to Dubai Festival City Mall within a one-minute walk, which can be a practical amenity for delegate networking or pre-event registration areas.
